校長挨拶

　この度は、滋賀県立信楽高等学校のホームページをご覧いただき、ありがとうございます。

　

本校は、滋賀県の最南部、「日本六古窯」として知られる甲賀市信楽町にあります。この信楽の地は「たぬき」の焼き物で知られ、町全体が陶芸の里となっています。さらに、町内には聖武天皇が造営を始めたとされる紫香楽宮の宮跡や古くから日本五大銘茶に数えられた朝宮茶の産地などがあり、古からの歴史を持つ、自然豊かなところです。また、令和元年１０月から放映されたNHKの朝ドラ「スカーレット」の舞台としても話題になりました。

 

　さて、本校はこの地に昭和２３年９月、滋賀県立甲賀高等学校信楽分校として創立されました。昭和２７年には甲南高等学校信楽分校となり、昭和４８年に信楽工業高等学校として独立しました。独立当時の設置学科は、窯業科（のちのセラミック科）とデザイン科の２学科でした。その後、昭和５７年に普通科が設置され、校名も信楽高等学校に変更されました。そして、平成２６年４月には、学科が総合学科に改編され、同時に「アート留学」と名付けた全国募集を、県下で唯一、実施することになりました。さらに、平成２８年３月に歴史ある工業学科（セラミック科・デザイン科）と普通科の最後の卒業生を送り出し、平成３０年１１月には総合学科として創立７０周年を迎え、記念式典を挙行しました。

 

　現在、総合学科として「セラミック」「デザイン」「普通」の３つの系列があり、多くの選択科目を用意しています。本校総合学科では、自分の進路をしっかりと考え、進路実現に必要な系列や科目を自ら選択して学んでいきます。その中には信楽ならではの地域の教育資源を活用した特色ある授業も多く、生徒の学ぶ意欲の向上につながっています。

 

　本校は今後、創立８０周年に向け、「令和」の時代の中で、地域に根ざした特色ある高等学校として、地域に学び地域に貢献できる人材の育成を目指して、教職員一同、力を合わせて取り組んでまいります。

Thank you for visiting our homepage.
Our school is in Shigaraki-cho, Koka City(the southern part of Shiga Prefecture), which is known as the "Six Ancient Kilns of Japan". Shigaraki is a pottery village, and is famous for "tanuki(a raccoon dog)" pottery. It has the ruins of Shigaraki-gu shrine, which emperor Seimu in said to have started to build, and also has the production area of Asamiya tea,(one of Japan's five great teas from ancient times). Shigaraki is the place that is rich in nature and has a long history. It also became a hot topic as a stage for NHK's morning drama "Skarlet", which aired from October, 2019.

 

Our school was founded in this Shigaraki town in September,1948 as a branch school of Koka senior high school. And then, became a branch school of Konan high school in 1952, and finally became independant as Shigaraki Technical high school in 1973. In the beginning, there were only two courses, "Ceramic industry course" and "Design course". Later in 1982, we added "Academic course", and became Shigaraki senior high school. In April 2014, we became "comprehensive high school", and at the same time, we started "Art Ryugaku", that is the recruitment from around Japan for the first time in Shiga prefecture. Furthermore, in March 2016, we sent out the last graduates of the historic Department of Industrial Science (Ceramics and Design Department) and the Ordinary Department, and in November 2018, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of our founding.

 

We now have "Ceramic art" and "Academic" course, and are preparing various subjects to choose. Our students think their career path firmly, and select their course and lessons to make their future career come true. There are destinctive classes which uses local educational resources peculiar to Shigaraki, which makes to increase student's motivation to learn.

 

Toward the 80th anniversary of our foundation, in this Reiwa-era, as a distinctive high school rooted in local community, we will work together to develop human resources who can learn and contribute to the local community.

学習面の特徴　about lessons and works

■わかりやすい授業をめざします
小規模である利点を生かし、少人数の分割授業や習熟度別授業により、基礎学力の充実・伸張に力を入れます。
We aim to provide understandable (easy understanding) lessons.
Since we have the advantage of small scale, we will focus on enhancing and developing basic academic ability through small-group divided classes and classes by proficiency level.

■新しい授業形態を取り入れています
さまざまな教科でのコンピュータ・インターネットの活用や、ALTによる英語指導など時代にマッチした授業を行います。
We are incorporating new style lessons.
Classes that match the times, such as the use of computer in various subjects and English instruction with ALT (assistant language teacher).

■きめ細かい進路指導を行います
個々の生徒の志望に沿った進路指導を徹底するとともに、さまざまな資格の習得や検定試験の合格をバックアップします。
We teach and support detailed career guidance.
We thoroughly provide career guidance according to each student's desires, and back up the acquisition of various qualifications and passing the examination.

生活面の特徴　about lifestyle

■基本的生活習慣を高めます
厳しい中にもあたたかい配慮のある指導により、社会人としての第一歩を踏み出す心構えを身につけさせます。
We support to improve student's basic lifestyle.
We lead the students warmly and strictly to prepare to take the first step as a member of society.

■道徳・マナーの向上を図ります
あいさつ・礼儀を重んじ、生徒同士、教師と生徒間のコミュニケーションを積極的に図り、思いやりの心を育てます。
We will improve morals and manners of the students.
We value greetings and courtesy, active communications, and compassionate minds.

■協調性のある人間を育成します。
生徒会行事や部活動を通して友情と連帯の輪を広げ、かけがえのない高校生活を明るく楽しいものにします。
We nurture cooperativeness as one person.
We will expand the circle of friendship and solidarity through school events held by the student council, and club activities, and make precious high school life bright and enjoyable.
